Meet The Artist

Creating watercolor artwork inspired by nature, wildlife, and the beauty of everyday life.

Hi, I’m Libby — the artist behind Libby Allex Studio.

I create watercolor artwork inspired by the beauty of nature and the moments that mean the most to us. Whether I'm painting an animal, a favorite place, or another meaningful subject, my goal is always the same: to capture more than just what something looks like. I want each painting to reflect personality, emotion, and the story behind it.

I've loved drawing since I was young and even kept little portfolios of my favorite sketches growing up. My love for watercolor came later and was inspired by my grandmother, who was a talented watercolor artist herself. What started as curiosity quickly became something much bigger.

Today, alongside running my business, I'm also a homeschool mom to two baseball-loving boys. Life is busy, creative, and often covered in watercolor paint—and I truly wouldn't have it any other way.

Every painting is created by hand using professional-quality materials and careful attention to detail. Whether you're collecting original artwork, commissioning a custom piece, joining one of my watercolor classes, or simply following along on my creative journey, I'm grateful you're here.

You can also find me at local art markets and festivals throughout the Treasure Valley, where I love meeting fellow animal lovers and sharing my work in person.
