Hi, I’m Libby, the artist behind Libby Allex Studio.

I’m a watercolor artist specializing in realistic wildlife paintings and custom pet portraits. I love capturing the details that make an animal feel alive, from the expression in its eyes to the texture of fur and feathers, while still letting the softness and transparency of watercolor show through.

Animals have always been at the heart of my artwork. My wildlife paintings are inspired by the beauty, personality, and connection I see in nature, while my pet portraits give me the opportunity to create something deeply personal for the people who love them. I especially enjoy painting the little details and expressions that make each animal unique.

I've loved drawing since I was young, but my love for watercolor came later and was inspired by my grandmother, who was a talented watercolor artist herself. What started as curiosity quickly grew into the medium I fell in love with and eventually built my business around.

Teaching has also become an important part of what I do. I love helping others discover watercolor and showing them that they don't have to be an experienced artist to enjoy painting. Through my classes and watercolor lessons, I hope to make learning feel approachable, encouraging, and fun.

Alongside running my studio, I homeschool my two boys, who are both passionate about baseball. Much of our free time is spent at the baseball fields, camping, enjoying time at the lake, or having quiet family days at home on our peaceful little property. Balancing motherhood, homeschooling, and my art business keeps life full, but I’m grateful for the creativity and flexibility it brings.

  • I take great care in creating each pet portrait, greeting card, framed print, and digital product, and I want you to love your order! Please review the return policy below for each product type.

    Pet Portraits

    Each pet portrait is custom-made, so I only accept returns for damaged or defective products.

    • Notify me within 5 days of receiving your order by emailing libby@libbyallexstudio.com with a description and photos of the issue.

    • Ship the item back within 30 days once your return request is approved.

    Once I receive the returned item, I will issue a replacement or refund. Shipping costs for approved returns may be covered on a case-by-case basis.

    Greeting Cards, Prints & Original Wildlife Artwork

    All greeting cards, prints, and original wildlife artwork are carefully created and inspected before shipping. Because of their nature, I only accept returns for damaged or defective items.

    Notify me within 5 days of receiving your order by emailing libby@libbyallexstudio.com with a description and photos of the issue.

    Ship the item back within 30 days once your return request is approved.

    Digital Products

    All digital products are non-refundable and non-returnable due to their instant access nature. If you experience any issues with your download, please contact me at libby@libbyallexstudio.com, and I’ll be happy to assist you.
