Lesson & Workshop Policies
Please review the following policies before reserving a private lesson, class, or workshop. These policies help me prepare for each class and keep scheduling fair for everyone.
Private & semi-private lessons: $25
Private group & kids classes: $50
Community/organization workshops: specified with quote
Booking & Deposits
A deposit is required to reserve your lesson, class, or workshop date. Your deposit will be applied toward the total cost of your booking.
Deposits are non-refundable, but may be transferred to a new date when at least 48 hours’ notice is provided.
Your date is not reserved until your deposit has been received.
Remaining Balance
Private/semi-private: remaining balance due 48 hours before
Group/kids: final headcount and remaining balance due 5 days before
Community workshops: according to the terms provided with the quote
For private and semi-private lessons, the remaining balance is due 48 hours before the lesson.
For private group and kids classes, the final participant count and remaining balance are due 5 days before the scheduled class.
Because supplies and materials are prepared based on the confirmed number of participants, the class total cannot be reduced if individual participants are unable to attend after the final count has been submitted.
For community and organization workshops, payment schedules may vary and will be included with your individual quote.
Deposit can be transferred one time with 48+ hours notice.
Less than 48 hours = deposit forfeited.
A new deposit is required to book again.
No-shows forfeit payments made.
Cancellations & Rescheduling
I understand that plans sometimes change. With at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit may be transferred to one new lesson or class date.
Cancellations or requests to reschedule made with less than 48 hours’ notice will result in the loss of the deposit. A new deposit will be required to reserve another date.
If you do not attend your scheduled lesson or class without providing notice, payments already made will be forfeited.
Outdoor lessons are weather dependent.
Weather-related rescheduling will not result in a penalty.
Payments will transfer to the rescheduled date.
Weather & Instructor Cancellations
Lessons held at my outdoor Nampa teaching space are weather dependent. If weather conditions make it uncomfortable or unsafe to hold your lesson, we’ll reschedule for another available date. Any payments already made will transfer to the new date.
If I need to cancel or reschedule a class for any reason, you may transfer all payments to a new date or receive a full refund.
Group Classes
Final participant count is due 5 days before your class.
The person booking the class is responsible for the full class payment.
Additional participants may be added with prior approval.
Private group and kids class pricing is based on the final confirmed number of participants and any applicable minimum class price.
Additional participants may be added after the final count only with prior approval and if space and supplies are available.
The class total cannot be reduced if individual participants are unable to attend after the final count has been submitted.
Kids classes are designed for ages 8–13.
A responsible adult must remain present for the duration of the class.
Kids classes are $20 per child with a $120 minimum.
Kids Classes
Kids watercolor classes are designed for ages 8–13. A responsible adult must remain present for the duration of the class. The adult booking the class is responsible for supervising the children outside of watercolor instruction.
Teens ages 14 and older may participate in my regular private, semi-private, and group lesson options.
Basic watercolor supplies are provided for lessons and classes.
No supplies need to be purchased unless otherwise arranged.
Community and organization workshop supply needs may vary.
Supplies
Basic watercolor supplies are provided for private lessons, semi-private lessons, private group classes, and kids classes unless otherwise arranged.
Supply requirements for community and organization workshops may vary. Any special requirements will be discussed before the workshop is booked.
Travel is available for select group classes and workshops.
Travel is subject to location and availability.
Any applicable travel fee will be confirmed before booking.
The host must provide an appropriate space for the class.

Travel is available for select private group classes and community or organization workshops in the Treasure Valley.
Availability and any applicable travel fee will be confirmed before booking.
When I travel to you, the host is responsible for providing adequate tables and seating for all participants, along with reasonable access to water. Any additional space requirements will be discussed before booking.
Lessons and classes begin and end at the scheduled times.
Late arrivals may not be able to receive the full scheduled instruction time.
Late arrival does not reduce the class or lesson price.
Late Arrivals
Lessons and classes will begin and end at the scheduled times. If you or members of your group arrive late, I may not be able to extend the lesson or class beyond the originally scheduled end time.
One-time and recurring workshops are available.
Pricing and booking terms are customized for each organization.
Any customized terms will be provided before booking.
Community & Organization Workshops
One-time and recurring workshops are available for community groups, clubs, organizations, and similar groups.
Because these workshops can vary considerably in size and format, pricing, deposits, payment deadlines, supplies, cancellation terms, and other arrangements may be customized for each organization. Any terms that differ from these general policies will be provided with your workshop quote or agreement.
