Tiny Explorer was inspired by the curiosity and energy of the squirrels we so often see darting through trees and across our yards. I was drawn to this little squirrel’s alert expression and the sense that it had paused for just a moment before continuing on its way.
Through this painting, I wanted to capture one of those small encounters with nature that can be easy to pass by. Tiny Explorer is a reminder to notice the personality, curiosity, and beauty in the wildlife living right alongside us.
